Commercial Lines Insurance Agent/Producer
 
Snapper Shuler Kenner Insurance LLC, Lynden Office
 
SSK is now accepting applications for a new commercial lines agent in our Lynden office.
 
In this position you will be responsible for sales and creating your own book of commercial lines accounts in our Lynden office.
 
On the average day you will be involved in various networking events outside of the office, cold calling and drop-ins to meet new prospective clients for insurance quoting opportunities in Whatcom, Skagit and Snohomish Counties. 
 
PREREQUISITES:  The ideal candidate will have previous agency experience, current property and casualty insurance agent's license, excellent written/verbal communication skills, reading, and comprehension abilities with an outgoing personality and dynamite sales technique. You will be a self starter and go-getter that is comfortable with public explanation of the ins-outs of business insurance coverage. You must be able to effectively communicate with your colleagues, clients and company underwriters. The position requires a broad knowledge of: property/casualty insurance principals, markets, knowledge of business, familiarity of Applied Systems helpful along with proficiency of PC software, Windows, Excel. You must be able to type and navigate multiple systems on the computer.  Preferred qualifications are: MBA, BA in Business Administration, and Insurance Designations are a plus.
